Mammoth Weekend

Well, what a weekend that was!

We kicked things off on Friday night at The Crown in Holbeach.  It was a great night (as always) and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.  Plenty of dancing and singing.

Saturday night we were at the Services Club in Holbeach for Alex Walsham’s 18th birthday party.  It’s always been a strange venue for us as we have to keep the volume fairly low because of whinging neighbours.  There is also a lit area at the back of the hall where people like to congregate which takes the focus off of us at times!  Despite this the night went well and we enjoyed playing for the younger generation!

Finally Sunday night we were at The Jolly Farmer in Moulton Chapel.  It was a double birthday celebration for Joe (60) and Simon (40).  It was another fabulous night with some superb efforts from “Little Richard” and Paul.

It was a tough weekend but thoroughly enjoyable.

Back in Business

We return to The Station Gates this Saturday for our first karaoke of 2010. By now you should have given up on the detox plan and be ready for a few drinks, and songs!

The Crown

Another splendid night at the Crown on Friday. A slow start to the evening but as the beer started to flow so did the song slips! Some memorable dance moves from Tim Cole didn’t go unnoticed. It was great to have everyone up dancing to finish off the night.

We have been rebooked for Friday 18th December so we’ll see you then.

How many electricians does it take to change a fuse?

The answer, three!

What an eventful night we had at The Gates on Saturday with no power until 10:15pm. We were just setting up as usual at 7:45pm and the whole place fell into darkness, and before you ask it had nothing to do with us! It turns out that the main fuse had blown and the night looked to be over before it had even begun. Two and a half hours and three electricians later, we were back in business. Bully, Pat and Ollie pumped out their usual numbers and made it a night to remember.
